AI models good at basic science tasks but weak in reasoning, finds IIT Delhi study

A new study by researchers from IIT Delhi and Friedrich Schiller University Jena has found that while leading Artificial Intelligence (AI) models excel in basic scientific and perception-based tasks, they lack the reasoning skills required for complex research work.
