Young chess player Soham Sudarshan Sahamate (1540) defeated higher-rated Shardul Kadam Aditya (1917) in Round 2 of the All India Chess Masters - Season 4 at Mumbai Chess Centre, organisers said. Playing with white pieces, Soham built pressure in the middlegame and converted accurately after a 60-move classical battle at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture.
