Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated a new 208-bed Super Speciality Hospital at Silchar Medical College, with help from JICA funding. The Rs. 300 crore hospital will feature six clinical departments and is set for completion in 30 months, enhancing Assam's healthcare and medical education infrastructure.
