Autonomous commercial vehicle startup Waabi raises $1 billion in Series C round

Waabi plans to deploy the new funds to speed up the commercialisation of its autonomous trucking operations and expand into robotaxis. It signed a deal today with Uber to deploy at least 25,000 self-driving robotaxis on the ride-hailing platform. With this, Waabi has now raised about $1.28 billion from investors including Uber, Nvidia’s venture arm, Volvo Group Venture Capital, Porsche Automobil Holding SE, and BlackRock, among others.
