Bharat Dynamics appoints Shailesh Vagerwal as Chairman and Managing Director

Shailesh Vagerwal has assumed the role of Chairman and Managing Director at Bharat Dynamics Limited effective July 9, 2026, following an appointment order from the Ministry of Defence. A distinguished officer of the Indian Ordnance Factories Service, Vagerwal brings nearly three decades of experience in the defence manufacturing sector, having previously served as Chief General Manager at Ordnance Factory, Khamaria. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Explosive Ordnance Engineering from Cranfield University, UK.
