Rajashree Shirwadkar of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Education Committee has urged the state government to increase funding for municipal schools in Mumbai. She sought ₹42 crore for CCTV installations and ₹35 lakh for Marathi-medium students, saying higher allocations are needed to improve infrastructure and learning facilities.
