Crackdown on Illegal VoIP Exchange in Meerut

Uttar Pradesh Police have dismantled an illegal VoIP telephone exchange in Meerut, arresting six individuals involved in routing international calls as local ones for fraud purposes. VoIP technology uses the internet for calls, enabling identity concealment. Key equipment and fraudulently obtained SIM cards were also seized during the operation.
