DAV Senior Secondary Model School, Sector 8, Panchkula, hosted a grand awareness programme titled “No Nasha Nation – Empowering Youth Through Vedic Wisdom”, organised by the Arya Yuva Samaj as part of a socially significant initiative to build a drug-free India. The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by the soulful rendition of the ‘DAV Gaan’ and a floral welcome for the distinguished guests. The atmosphere resonated with patriotic fervour and spiritual energy as students presented ‘Vedic bhajans’ and ‘mantra’ chanting. A special video presentation on the “No Nasha Nation” campaign highlighted the growing concern of substance abuse among youth and emphasised the urgent need for awareness, prevention, and collective action. The highlight of the event was the visionary address by VK Chopra, Director, Public Schools, DAVCMC, New Delhi, who inspired students to channel their energy towards purposeful living, discipline, and nation-building. Addressing the gathering, Justice Pritam Pal, vice-president, DAVCMC, appreciated the efforts of the Arya Yuva Samaj and DAV institutions in spreading awareness against social evils through education and cultural awakening. The most impactful session was the motivational address delivered by Shri Yogi Suri, national president, Arya Yuva Samaj. In his inspiring speech, he urged the younger generation to reject addiction and embrace a life guided by self-control, character, and Vedic wisdom. Students also presented a thought-provoking nukkad natak depicting the devastating consequences of substance abuse and the importance of positive choices, strong family values, and moral education. A solemn pledge ceremony was conducted in which students, teachers, and guests collectively resolved to remain drug-free and actively support the “No Nasha Nation” mission. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by the principal, followed by ‘Shanti Path’. An exhibition based on the themes of Vedic values, youth empowerment, and anti-drug awareness was also inaugurated, showcasing creative presentations, posters, and informative displays prepared by students.
