DGCA imposes a Rs 40 lakh fine on IndiGo for using an unqualified simulator to train pilots at critical airports

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has fined IndiGo Airlines forty lakh rupees. The airline conducted pilot training on simulators not approved for critical airports like Calicut and Leh. Two directors of IndiGo received twenty lakh rupee penalties each. This action follows an investigation into training records. IndiGo must deposit the penalties within thirty days.
