DGTR starts countervailing duty probe into Chinese aluminium foil

India's trade body has started a probe. It is investigating Chinese aluminium foil imports. The Directorate General of Trade Remedies will check for government subsidies. This investigation covers a period from April 2024 to March 2025. Domestic companies claim injury from these subsidised imports. This is not the first such trade action against Chinese foil.
