Rao Inderjit Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and Ministry of Planning, also said the new CPI inflation series will be based on the 2023-24 Household Consumption Expenditure Survey and not the 2022-23 one.
