I-T drops ₹8,500-crore transfer pricing case against Vodafone Group

The Income-Tax Department has withdrawn a significant ₹8,500-crore transfer pricing case against Vodafone Group. This case involved the sale of Vodafone India's call centre business. The withdrawal follows a recent Supreme Court decision regarding Vodafone's adjusted gross revenue liabilities. The dispute had been pending for several years. The Bombay High Court had previously ruled in favour of Vodafone India Services.
