IIT Palakkad begins second phase construction

Construction for the second phase of expansion at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Palakkad kicked off on Saturday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the construction through videoconferencing. The ₹2,600-crore second phase project will add approximately 1.55 lakh sq m of built-up space at the IIT. It will feature academic blocks, residential complexes, sports facilities, and more.
