India added 23 GW renewable capacity in Apr-Aug FY26: Joshi

India has significantly boosted its renewable energy capacity. In the last five months, the nation added 23 GW of clean energy. This achievement contributes to India's goal of 500 GW renewable capacity by 2030. The country's non-fossil capacity has reached approximately 252 GW. The PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana has solarised around 2 million homes.
