India marks one year of Pahalgam terror attack: PM Modi remembers 26 victims, sends strong message to terror groups

On the first anniversary of the Pahalgam terror attack 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the 26 victims and reaffirmed Indias zero-tolerance stance against terrorism, stating the nation “will never bow to any form of terror.” The attack, carried out by The Resistance Front linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, targeted tourists in Jammu and Kashmir based on religion, triggering nationwide outrage and a strong counter-terror response. In the aftermath, the Indian Army launched Operation Mahadev, successfully neutralising the perpetrators after an extensive 93-day search, while Operation Sindoor targeted terror infrastructure across the border in a calibrated military response.
