India Overtakes Japan To Become World’s Fourth-Largest Economy

India has overtaken Japan to become the world’s fourth-largest economy at USD 4.18 trillion and is on track to surpass Germany by 2030. Strong domestic demand drove GDP growth to 8.2% in Q2 FY26, with global agencies projecting India as the fastest-growing major economy.
