India released nearly 3,000 climate-resilient crop varieties during 2014-25: Govt

India has released 2,996 climate-resilient crop varieties from 2014 to 2025. The Indian Council of Agricultural Research led this effort. Complementary farming practices were also developed. The National Innovations on Climate Resilient Agriculture program supports farmers. Vulnerability assessments identified 310 highly vulnerable districts. Climate Resilient Villages are being established for wider technology replication.
