Indian Students Win Gold Cup At Mitsubishi Electric Cup With AI Platform That Converts Words Into PLC Programming Code

A team of students from Sona College of Technology in Tamil Nadu won the Gold Cup at the Mitsubishi Electric Cup for developing an AI-based platform that converts natural language instructions into PLC programming code. Their innovation powered an automated dip dyeing machine and will now represent Mitsubishi Electric India at the Global MECA Competition in September 2026.
