IndiGos large-scale flight cancellations have brought renewed attention to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Indias aviation regulator responsible for enforcing safety rules, crew-duty norms, and operational standards. The DGCA stepped in after IndiGo struggled to meet revised pilot rest requirements, citing gaps in planning and shortages of captains.
