Japan Commits ₹16,420 Crore ODA Loan To India For Metro, Healthcare & Agri Projects

The Japanese government has approved an Official Development Assistance (ODA) loan of JPY 275.858 billion (around Rs 16,420 crore) to India for four major projects. The funding will support Bengaluru Metro Phase 3 (JPY 102.48 bn), Mumbai Metro Line 11 (JPY 92.4 bn), strengthening tertiary healthcare and medical education in Maharashtra, and promoting sustainable horticulture in Punjab.
