‘Johnny Johnny Yes Papa’ is against Indian culture: UP Education Minister

Yogendra Upadhyay, UP Minister for Higher Education and Science and Technology, sparked controversy by stating that popular English nursery rhymes, ‘Johnny Johnny Yes Papa’ and ‘Rain Rain Go Away’, promote dishonesty and go against Indian values. He explained that the rhymes teach children to lie and prioritize self-happiness over the welfare of all.
