Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde has directed the development of green zones at Vashi Naka and Airoli Naka, with the initiative set to be launched on World Environment Day, June 5, 2026. During a site inspection, she ordered planned tree plantation, flowering species such as pink tabubia and yellow allamanda, and beautification to boost biodiversity, carbon absorption and environmental health.
