WestBridge Capital has invested $45 million in climatetech startup Varaha, its first deal in the sector, with $20 million ton be received in the first tranche. Varaha runs farm-based projects that remove carbon dioxide and turn it into verified carbon credits. Singhal said few Indian companies have scaled enough to attract large mainstream capital, making Varaha a rare opportunity.
