A spate of violent incidents in Mumbai local trains has raised passenger safety concerns as data reveals 89.74% of general coaches on Western and Central Railway lack CCTV cameras, while 93.34% do not have emergency talk-back systems. With nearly 70 lakh commuters daily, recent assaults, a pepper spray attack and past fatal incidents have renewed calls for stronger security measures.
