Mumbai News: SHRC Takes Cognisance Of Complaint Over Garbage Dumping, Nallah Overflow In Govandi

The Maharashtra State Human Rights Commission has taken cognisance of a complaint alleging public health risks caused by illegal garbage dumping, nallah overflow and toxic water stagnation in Govandi. The commission recorded submissions from civic officials and sought affidavits on preventive measures and cleaning work. The matter will be heard again on April 9.
