NCERT withdraws textbook after ‘corruption in judiciary’ chapter sparks Supreme Court outrage

NCERT recently withdrew its newly released Class 8 Social Science textbook after Supreme Court criticism over a chapter on judicial corruption and case backlog. CJI Surya Kant objects to the tone, calling it a move to defame the judiciary.
