RBI Finalises NBFC-UL Norm That May See Tata Sons List

Indias central bank on Wednesday implemented a new definition for systemically important non-banking financial companies, called upper-layer NBFCs, bringing such companies with assets exceeding ₹1 lakh crore under the umbrella that requires a public listing of shares, in a move that appears to have all but shut the door for the parent of the countrys largest business group to remain privately held.
