Maharashtra government will frame a policy to regulate treatment charges in private hospitals to ease rising medical costs. Acting on a Supreme Court directive, Health Minister Prakash Abitkar said guidelines will be finalised after stakeholder consultations. The move aims to address high NICU and treatment expenses and improve transparency in hospital billing and enforcement.
