Sai Life Sciences Limited announced on May 11, 2026, that its Bidar campus — comprising its flagship API manufacturing facility (Unit IV) and animal health API manufacturing facility (Unit VI) — now operates entirely on renewable power, making it the first site within an Indian CRDMO to achieve 100% renewable electricity usage. The transition was achieved through a phased effort spanning from 2020 to fiscal 2026, with 97% of the site's electricity sourced via Open Access solar and wind agreements and the remaining 3% covered through I-RECs. At the organisational level, nearly 80% of Sai Life Sciences' total electricity consumption now comes from renewable sources, and the company has achieved zero market-based Scope 2 emissions, avoiding an estimated 35,110 metric tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually.
