Georges Bandar, founder of Beirut-based salad chain Salata, revealed in a viral LinkedIn post that his wife, Yara, sold her Cartier watch for $2,500 to fund their first week of supplies after they forgot to budget for food in 2018. The sacrifice kickstarted Salata, which has since grown into a lifestyle brand around healthy eating. Speaking to Forbes, Bandar credited resilience, efficiency, and mindset as keys to overcoming early struggles.
