‘Sudharshan Chakra will act both as a shield and a sword’: CDS Chauhan on India’s ‘Iron Dome’

India is working on its own version of an ‘Iron Dome’ under Mission Sudarshan Chakra, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan said on Tuesday, days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the project in his Independence Day address. He explained that the system would be designed to detect, track, and neutralise aerial threats using both electronic and cyber measures as well as weapons like missiles and lasers.
