Sumitomo Chemical India AGM to approve leadership transition

Sumitomo Chemical India Limited has convened its Twenty-Sixth Annual General Meeting for 27 July 2026 via Video Conferencing to transact business including the adoption of audited financial statements for FY26 and a leadership transition. Shareholders will vote on promoting Dr Suresh Ramachandran to Managing Director and appointing Mr Chetan Shah as Non-Executive Non-Independent Director, alongside the reappointment of Independent Directors. The agenda also includes approving related party transactions with the parent company aggregating ₹16,235 million and ratifying the remuneration of cost auditors.
