The Ukrainian gunman used a 14.5 millimetre Alligator sniper rifle, typically used by snipers during the war, to take out the Russian troops over four kilometres away – a world record. The rifle, which is designed to take out military hardware, has a range of only around two kilometres. The gunman was assisted by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and artificial intelligence (AI).
