
What's on the agenda of PM Modi's Japan visit ahead of China trip for the SCO Summit?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to undertake a two-nation tour beginning August 29. The first leg will see him in Japan for a two-day visit to participate in the 15th India-Japan Annual Summit, marking his eighth visit to the country and the inaugural summit with Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba. During his time in Japan, PM Modi and his counterpart will review the comprehensive strategic partnership covering areas like defence, trade, technology, and cultural exchanges. Subsequently, from August 30 to September 1, Modi will travel to Tianjin, China, to attend the annual Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit, where he is also expected to engage in several bilateral meetings on the sidelines.
