Actress Aditi Rao Hydari detailed her flexible diet, which includes a love for South Indian breakfast (like idli), a mostly vegetarian lunch of quinoa and dal chawal sabzi, and a dinner she aims to keep light and protein-focused (fish, soup, or kebabs), though she admits to struggling to finish her last meal by the ideal time of 6:30-7:00 PM and doesn't restrict cravings like chocolate or pani puri. Taking a cue from her preference for a light dinner, consultant dietitian Garima Goyal explained that choosing an easily digestible evening meal is crucial as it allows the body to shift from high-energy functions to restorative and cellular repair modes overnight, which a heavy late-night meal would compromise. A lighter dinner, typically composed of lean protein and vegetables with fewer refined carbohydrates and fats, minimizes the gastrointestinal load, reduces insulin surges, and enhances sleep readiness, ultimately supporting long-term health, fitness recovery, and overall sustainability.
